Alan Spaeth
Alan has been designing custom Marching Band and Winterguard shows, flags and costumes for groups at nearly every competitive level since 1988. His work has been highly successful in the Local, State and National competitive arenas. During this time, Alan has designed for groups such as: Lakeland HS 1989-1997—WGI Scholastic A World Champions 1993, WGI Scholastic Open Silver Medalist 1997, BOA Regional Champions 1996, MCBA State Champions 1991, 1992, 1996; Reeths Puffer HS Marching Band 1994-1998—MCBA State Champions 1995 and 1998, BOA Grand Nationals AA Champions 1999; Plymouth Centennial Educational Park Marching Band 1994, 1996-2003, 2007-2010—MCBA State Champions 1994, 1996-2003, 2007-2009, BOA Class AAA Champion and  Grand National Champions 1999; Lincoln-Way East HS Marching Band 2004-2008—State of Illinois Grand Champion 2007 and 2008; Lincoln-Way North HS Marching Band 2007-Present—BOA Regional Finalist 2007-2010, BOA Regional Class Champion 2010, State of Illinois State Class Champion 2009 and 2010, and was the Visual Coordinator for the 2014 Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.

Alan is currently the visual designer for a number of programs including the 2015 BOA San Antonio Regional champion Flower Mound HS (TX).

Steven Ryan
Steven has been involved in the marching arts as performer, designer, instructor, and consultant for nearly 30 years. In addition to performing with The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, Alliance of Miami and Studio One he has designed for and consulted with groups at a range of competitive levels including: Choctawhatchee HS Winter Guards—WGI Scholastic World and Open Class finalists and medalists 1990, 1991, 1992; The Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps 1991; The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps 1992, 1993; The Company Winter Guard. Steven has also been providing show branding services to numerous groups including The Cavaliers which can be seen here.  

Steven was also a design lead and partner for 22 years at the globally renowned design and marketing agency, VSA Partners. Some of his clients included ALDO Shoes, Converse, First Data, IBM, Motorola, Sony, and Under Armour. 

Steven served as president of the Chicago chapter of AIGA—the professional association for design. He holds a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Design Methods from the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology—where he is currently an adjunct graduate professor.
